Randy Evans

Randy Evans is the chair of the Financial Institutions practice. He handles high profile, complex litigation matters in state and federal courts throughout the United States for some of the largest companies in the world.

In addition, Randy served as outside counsel to the Speakers of the 104th-109th Congresses of the United States. He represents former Speakers of the United States House of Representatives, Dennis Hastert and Newt Gingrich, respectively, as well as J.C. Watts, former Representative to the United States House of Representatives from Oklahoma. He also represents several current Members and former Members of Congress, as well as elected officials in Georgia.

Randy is a frequent lecturer and author on the subjects of professional liability and ethics, government ethics and politics. Among numerous articles and publications published, Randy is the Author of two books, The Practical Guide to Legal Malpractice Prevention (Eighth Ed. 2000) and The Practical Guide to Purchasing Legal Malpractice Insurance (Third Ed. 1999).

Randy negotiates speaking, broadcast and literary contracts including three New York Times bestsellers for political clients. He also advises clients on corporate governance issues.
Randy has been named in Best Lawyers in America in the practice areas of Commercial Litigation and Legal Malpractice Law. Atlanta Magazine has recognized him as a “Georgia Super Lawyer” in the area of Business Litigation. JAMES Magazine has recognized Randy as one of Georgia's Most Influential People.

Corporate Board of Directors

Randy is chairman of the board of the Newt Gingrich Companies. He is also chairman of the board of the J.C. Watts Companies.

Community/Civic Involvement

Randy served as Special Master to the Georgia Supreme Court from 1999-2004. He is the longest serving Member of the Georgia Board of Elections. Randy is General Counsel to the Georgia Republican Party. He was a member of the 1994-1995 Leadership Atlanta class. He serves on the Board of Governors of the Republican National Lawyers Association.

Kathy Lubbers


Ms. Lubbers is President and CEO of Gingrich Communications where she leads a team responsible for bringing Newt's message to the American people.

Experienced in creating strategic partnerships with other organizations designed to maximize potential for all involved; part of her responsibilities at Gingrich Communications includes business growth, vendor management, and relationship enhancement.

Accountable for the development and implementation of the business plan at Gingrich Communications, she has a strong and active working knowledge of television, radio, print media, research, public policy and publishing. Ms. Lubbers oversees and manages all of these opportunities including the internet strategy and e-marketing, the newt.org web site and e-newsletters.

Ms. Lubbers is President of the Lubbers Agency which represents a variety of talented celebrities in the areas of television, radio and book publication. The Lubbers Agency has placed 10 NY Times bestsellers.

Previously, she owned and operated her own business for 7 years.

Ms. Lubbers is a member of the National Board of Directors of the Arthritis Foundation focusing on development and fundraising for the organization. Having lived with Rheumatoid Arthritis for over 20 years, her dream is a world free of Arthritis pain.

She is also a co-founder and a board member of Learning Makes a Difference Foundation with her sister, Jackie Cushman.

Ms. Lubbers holds a BA in Religion from Davidson College. She resides with her husband Paul, in Key Biscayne, Florida.

Rick Tyler

Rick Tyler has worked for former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich for the last nine years. He currently serves as his Spokesperson and works with Gingrich’s organization American Solutions. Rick is also the President and Founder of Renewing American Leadership, an organization committed to training men and women of character to take leadership roles in defending and renewing our American Judeo-Christian heritage.

Rick was a candidate field trainer for GOPAC for ten years, he has professionally trained hundreds of candidates, their staffs, and volunteers to lead successful campaigns for elected office.

Rick has been invited to speak about his political insights by many Republican groups, committees and state legislative caucuses in 26 states. He was a guest lecturer at both the Institute for Politics at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard and the Robert J. Dole Institute for Politics at the University of Kansas. He has been interviewed by numerous radio and television programs.

Rick co-hosts an internet-based talk show "Leading the Majority with Rick & Vince" on the American Solutions website.

Rick is a contributing author to the New York Times Best Seller Real Change: From the World that Fails to the World that Works by Newt Gingrich. He was the project manager for Speaker Gingrich’s book on healthcare called Saving Lives and Saving Money.

Rick was a member of Speaker Gingrich's national advance team that coordinated travel for the former Speaker.

Before moving to Washington Rick was the Executive Director for the Maine Republican Party for five years.

Before deciding on a political career, Rick worked in the hospitality industry for ten years.

Rick lives in Virginia.

Stefan Passantino

Stefan C. Passantino has a nationwide practice and focuses on representing political figures, corporations and other political entities with respect to state and federal election law, campaign finance, lobbying law and ethics issues. He maintains offices in Washington, DC and Atlanta, Georgia. As head of McKenna Long & Aldridge's Political Law Team, some of his clients include former Speakers of the United States House of Representatives, Newt Gingrich and J. Dennis Hastert, as well as Congressman Roy Blunt, Lt. Gov Michael Steele of Maryland, former Congressmen Bob Barr of Georgia and JC Watts of Oklahoma. In addition, Stefan serves as General Counsel to corporate entities formed by former Speaker of the House Gingrich and former Congressman Watts. Stefan has provided Congressional and Executive Branch ethics and lobbying training to Members of Congress, their staff, the Administration, and private corporations for over ten years.

Stefan also represents parties in complex litigation matters including matters relating to insurance claims handling, bad faith, coverage and tort liability. He represents some of the largest companies in the world in complex legal disputes including Zurich, CIGNA and ACE.

Prior to joining McKenna Long & Aldridge, Stefan worked as an associate for a large New York law firm and as a Federal Law Clerk to United States District Court Judge Herbert F. Murray.

During law school, Stefan served as Managing Editor of the Emory Law Journal.

Law & Politics and Atlanta Magazine recognized Stefan on their 2005 and 2006 lists of Georgia Super Lawyers Rising Stars. Stefan has also been recognized as one of “Georgia’s Most Influential People” in the March 2006 and 2007 issues of James Magazine.

Joseph DeSantis

Joseph DeSantis serves as Communications Director for Gingrich Communications, where he oversees all of Speaker Gingrich’s online, television, radio and printed word outreach efforts. He is also the primary contact for members of the news media who wish to interview Speaker Gingrich. Previously with Gingrich Communications, he was the webmaster of Newt.org. Prior to joining Gingrich Communications, Mr. DeSantis was the Communications Coordinator for Business Executives for National Security. Mr. DeSantis holds a Master’s Degree in Political Management from The Graduate School of Political Management at George Washington University. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Drew University. Mr. DeSantis has also run two marathons and rose over $5000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as part of their Team in Training program. He was raised in Southern New Jersey.

Sylvia Garcia

Sylvia Garcia has been a member of the Gingrich team since 2005. She graduated from the University of Miami in Broadcast Journalism and Spanish language. Mrs. Garcia has over 10 years of Hispanic Media experience and now handles all Spanish-related coverage with Speaker Newt Gingrich. She also handles the www.newt.org/ParaLatinos website which essentially is a Spanish version of www.newt.org that focuses on conservative issues. Mrs. Garcia is based out of our Miami office. She also handles intern recruitment for this area.

Matt Scofield

Matt is a graduate of the University of Arizona, and came to D.C. by way of Dallas, where he worked for the past 5 years in the IT field. While working for Ross Perot, Nokia and a dot.com startup was worth his while, his strongest passion lies in politics, and that is why he leapt at the chance to work for the Speaker.

Emily Renwick

Emily graduated with a masters in Political Science from University of Illinois. She has been with the Speaker since September 2007, after completing an internship at AEI for Ayaan Hirsi Ali. Emily loves reading fiction and non fiction, and has recently finished a number of books about the current credit crisis, subprime mortgages, and the 1929 stock market crash.

Michelle Selesky

Michelle is Communications Coordinator at Gingrich Communications where she orchestrates radio and media opportunities for the Speaker and his co-authors, in addition to promoting speeches, book signings, Newt.org, and DVD and audio marketing. Michelle holds a Masters Degree in Political Management from the Graduate School of Political Management at George Washington University. In 2007, she graduated with honors from UCLA, where she earned a B.A. in Political Science and served as team captain of the UCLA Women’s Gymnastics team. Before joining Gingrich Communications, Michelle was a production assistant intern at The Michael Reagan Show in Los Angeles.

Robert Gross

Robbie graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in May of 2008 where he studied Art (Web Design, Video and Animation) and Computer Science. He professes a love of computers and politics which is why designing the graphics and helping to implement content on Newt.org is a dream come true. His goal is to make Newt.org one of the best places on the web to find engaging political content.
