This speech and the previous post remind me of just how relative things are.
I think about women's groups and the ACLU and how much energy they are willing to expend on inequity (perceived or real) here in the USA.
In the middle east, young women are begin DENIED EXISTENCE . . . and the American equality cops say . . . nothing.
We (collectively) can truly be ignorant and cruel. My heart is sick.
Newt in 2012.

It's ironic how we as a nation were smart enough to make sure women eventually had the right to vote, how we demand equality on all levels in our society, and yet we don't show disdain for other cultures and countries that hinder women from voting or even obtaining an education. If the ACLU had any intestinal fortitude, they would start by condemning the systematic, institutionalized inequality in non-democratic, Middle East cultures. Then they would attempt to establish a branch of the ACLU in the heart of these intolerant cultures, and see just how resistant the Taliban, and the countries in which they flourish, are to establishing or allowing any civil liberties at all.

Once again the reasons for being prepared are decisively clear by reason of The Speaker's dedication to simplicity in his relentless clarity about the 7 "p"s of victory: Proper-prior-preperation-prevents-p***-poor-performance.
