Even Newt, a SUPPOSED conservative, gives a liberal, mealy-mouthed answer when asked about healthcare. What is needed is leadership which will speak truth, no matter what is politically popular at the moment.

What we need to do about healthcare is get government out of it. Completely! Healthcare costs continue to rise because of the availability of deep pockets to fleece. With those removed, providers can only charge market rates for services. But this requires the acceptance of an inconvenient truth; people are ONLY entitiled to healthcare they earn the money to pay for, and no more.

When we create a system where everyone pays out of their pockets for all services recieved, the system will truely be both equitable and economically efficient.

Newt's plan is irrelevant. There is no debate. Congress & the Senate pass whatever laws they want, even if they have never read the bill.

Cap & Trade was not read, but they voted it in. There was no debate.

There will be no debate over universal healthcare either. It's all a sales pitch, then the pass it.

Breakneck speed is what this government is all about. They are gutting this country before our eyes.

The debate is over: We now know what we get when the House, Senate and whitehouse are controlled by Democrats.

And by time Obama is done, we'll see the results of the judicial branch appointees for the next 30+ years.

I intend to fiddle while Rome burns.
