talking politics in social circles and at work has always been not wise. today those of a fairly similar opinion must really push as many people we can to truly pay attention to what is going on in DC. past are the days when we can allow most americans to get their political news from the 3 national news outlets. we must all start really pushing everyone we know to find out all the facts not just Obama media sound bites. Newt, rush, sean and glenn cannot reach enough people we need to reach the rest if we ever hope to save this country for our children.

Like more than a few have stated in this post, the road is steep to fight a Supreme Court Nominee back by a Democratic Congress and President. Having read her whole speech given in Berkeley, she appears racist and fully supportive of more Affirmative Action. My hope is for Americans to effect "change" in 2010. Change that cements our way of life, our belief in the U.S. Constitution and the Rule of Law. We need help, Newt, and more rhetoric of these beliefs and why. Changing a Democrat may be difficult, but never impossible.

First Thank! you for your article I enjoyed read it. As a women and spanish women and a housewife her view is not my view, also a republican. This lady has had a bad view of American life I enjoy the life here and not racist. We are all granted so much rights every group of people as a christian women I love my country and the founding fathers. This women is a socialist and think she is higher everyone. We don't need her socialist ways and superiority. The only one who superior Is the heavenly father we must look to him for help. We don't need 30 year with her. Newt as a christian man and brother I am glad that you spoke up for us and watching over us. God bless you a very good article. Thank you again my brother.

Newt !
The people of America, the USA, need a leader now from the conservative side. You Newt seem to be the one who is making the loudest and best suggestions or objective criticism. When are you going to annouce your intentions to really get out there in front of the People ?
We need you. The country needs you !

Newt, I fully agree with you that Judge Sotomayer is a reverse racist. I don't think you should have later "corrected" yourself. If one of Caucasian heritage had said that they would have been FORCED TO WITHDRAWL. Why are the rules different for non-whites? They should NOT BE!
I'm so tired of non-whites having attitudes when all Americans do is bend over backwards to make non-whites feel welcome, get job opportunities, etc.
Judge Sotomayer should have to follow the SAME rules as EVERYONE else for said deed done. She SHOULD BE FORCED to WITHDRAWL.

I predicted much of what this "President" has done so far. I am saddened that only a few, like you, Newt, had the courage and integrity to report this man's relationships and true beliefs(based on historical behavior).
I am so tired of affirmative action taking jobs away from those who work hard and study and given to those who are looking for special favors because of some accident of birth.
How can someone who would do such a thing to others, as this woman has in the firefighter case, not consider this behavior racist? Her speech shouts about her belief that those of Latin descent deserve more than others, and are smarter and more "wise". I disagree. I do not believe that anyone can be judged better or worse based on race. Behaviors are the only way to know their hearts. Her behavior indicates that only when minority groups are placed in a position ahead of "majority" groups, is justice done. It seems counter-intuitive to my way of thinking.
How can I contnue to teach my children to be colorblind when it comes to race, religion etc, when the government insists on shoving racism, or reverse-racism to be PC, down their young throats?
I am not a member of any politcal party. I have always tried to stay away from politics. I am becoming a reluctant activist. I am speaking my mind and standing up for the rights of ALL Americans. This attempt to bankrupt our country, force Islam or atheism upon the majority of the population, take all jobs away from legal American citizens, force nationalization of health care and a variety of corporations and the banking system seem very similar to what Chavez did in Venezuela a few years ago.
I feel that this woman should be questioned very carefully and that her views should be considered in daylight, not through PC glasses that don't want to upset the group of people from her background...just like Clarence Thomas was.

I continue to attempt to remain positive but this nominee comes as no great surprise to me and really shouldn't come as a "surprise" to anyone.
If you look at Obama
If you look at the lies he told and other misrepresentations he made during his campaign
If you look at his appointments
If you look at what he has already done to begin dismantling America
If you look at his attitude toward America and Americans
If you look at his attitude toward life
If you look at his attitude toward individual freedoms and liberties
If you look at his attitude toward private business and capitalism in general
If you look at, what appears to be, his end-game desire to be a dictator of some sort
What in the world makes anyone think that he is going to do a complete and total about-face and nominate a person with whom he has absolutely NOTHING in common, a person who DISAGREES with him on major issues, and whose beliefs are COMPLETELY different than his?
To date he has appointed a host of tax cheats (who of course haven't be prosecuted or had the IRA run ruff-shod over them), and other extreme liberals, who SHARE his views
I truly appreciate Newt, Rush, Sean, Laura, and others not for "telling me" what to think but in giving me information that otherwise would not be available, which for me, serves as back-up for what to me is obvious if you apply any "common sense" at all.
The idea that if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, acts like a duck--it is MORE THAN LIKELY a duck!

Sotomayor should NOT be confirmed. Her membership in La Raza alone shows her ability to be impartial is affected. Judges - even in lower courts - should not belong to any politically oriented group, let alone, one with an agenda like that of La Raza.

the definition of racism has evolved: it now means institutional power used to disadvantage a racial or ethnic group.
By that definition, the remarks by Judge S. will be effectively racist whenever she uses institutional power to effect them.
However, no one would be splitting hairs now if a caucasian had made symetrical remarks.
Mr. Ricci should certainly be a witness before the committee, but so should Mrs. Kelo.

I believe that there should be a term limit for these people and for the Congress. People who get into these positions frequently become self absorbed and begin to think they are beyond reproach - it's obvious when you look at what has happened to America....We need to go back to our roots.

Unfortunately, America is getting what it has allowed to happen. This woman, Sotomayor, is just another of Obama's socialist acts which the general public has no clue, nor do they seem to care about. When the real Americans get of their duffs and educate themselves, take action on what they have learned, then we might accomplish something. How can a Kenyan be occupying the seat of the Presidency, taking all these socialist actions, and the Republican Congress (men and women) quietly sit down and do nothing.
We have 300+ organizations going in all directions and Obama has his storm troopers organized into a giant machine for which he takes no credit, but is their leader just as Ayers was in the bombing of Government buildings. He is, as I have said even before the election, following Alinsky's Rules for Radicals to the letter.
UNIFY ALL OUR GROUPS SO THAT WE CAN TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK.

I would hope the Supreme Court Justice that ends up on the bench is one who believes that the supreme court is below the constitution. We have had enough divisiveness with hyphonated Americans and class envy. We need to remember that our differences, while enriching us personally, don't give us the right to any entitlement of superiority. What makes our country great is not our differences, but our uniting as Americans to common values of human interaction as exhorted in the consititution. Justice is supposed to be blind. It benefits us all if she is.
