Michael Steele has been a front runner in the republican party for many years. Unlike the democratic party, republicans do not believe in affirmative action, remember? We vote on people based on qualifications and beliefs. Contrary to what black people have been taught by oppressors within the black leadership of this country (if you can call it leadership), the republican party has black members that are there by their own free will. He is not a token. He is a man of convictions formed through his beliefs and understanding of the constitution that coincide with republican beliefs. When was the last time you read the constitution? I have heard it over and over that there isn't such a thing as a black republican. Those people obviously aren't well informed.

Michael Steele is a "token" elected because Obama won the election. It won't work because most minorities know that the Republican party don't give a hoot about their issues. Real change starts in the heart not in the color of one's skin.

Some facts about Miichael Steele

- Steele has compared stem cell research to Nazi experiments during the Holocaust.

- Steele bussed in homeless African Americans from Philadelphia to distribute literature in Baltimore that featured "Sample Democratic Ballot" with votes for Steele and former Governor Ehrlich, along with photos of prominent black Democrats.

- Steele was endorsed by Mike Tyson during his run for Senate. When Tyson, who used to be married to Steele's half sister, pleased no contest to assault in Montgomery County in 1998, Steele was on hand to support him.

-Steele defended former Gov. Ehrlich's dedcision to hold a $100,000 fundraiser at a country club that did not allow non-white members, saying the club's membership's policies were not an issue because "I don't play golf".

Yep - a real force for change. A typical Rethuglican.

I like Michael Steele a lot!!!! He appears to have great ideas and has a lot on the ball. He is strong and a fast thinker. I so glad they voted him in and maybe he can turn things around and get the GOP on the right road of victory!!!!!!!!! I don't think the Dems will want to mess with him and most seem to have great respect for him. He isn't a circus kind of guy and will get down to business in a very fair and balance way. I think even if he has great ideas he still has a very open mind!!!!!!

GOOD LUCK MICHAEL STEELE!!!!!!!

Steele defintly has his work cut out for him. I hope he has good people around him.

Although it wasn't probally a good idea, to add to the Republican coaltion saying "Move over or we will knock you out." How articulate lol.

Facepalm.

Also my computer keeps getting nailed with a virus. -_-

Michael seems like someone whp can think, not like the rest of the republicans.
I believe and hope he will do a good job and leads the rest of the blind to the watering hole.
