April 6, 2009 By Fred Barbash The U.S. is at greater risk of terrorist attack because of the Obama administration's actions, Newt Gingrich said Monday. In a chat with POLITICO readers, Gingrich also called the administration’s response to the North Korean missile launch a “vivid demonstration of weakness in foreign policy.” He said Obama’s proposals for a resumption of nuclear arms limitation talks reflected “a dangerous fantasy that runs an enormous risk. ... Not since Jimmy Carter have we had an administration this out of touch with reality.” “Dick Cheney is clearly right in saying that between the court decisions about terrorists and the administration actions, the United States is running greater risks of getting attacked than we were under President Bush,” said the former speaker of the House and Georgia congressman. Gingrich made his comments in a live reader chat in POLITICO’s Arena forum, where he was asked about former Vice President Dick Cheney’s recent assertions that the Obama administration’s decision to close the detention center at Guantanamo, among other actions, was making America less safe.

"Greater Risk Under Obama" No more than any of the other idiots in power in our government if they were President.
I see Israel launched a missile, where are all the protest on that launch? What is good for the goose should be good for the gander.
The US should be the world bully and take control or shut up.
You put these people in office so you must be happy.

Once again, we see the ignorance and arrogance of an administration not clear on world views and agendas. VP Biden is really in uncharted waters when he criticizes Cheney on foreign policy. Here is a man that sees talk more important than action. “The last administration left us in a weaker posture than we've been any time since World War II: less regarded in the world, stretched more thinly than we ever have been in the past, two wars under way, virtually no respect in entire parts of the world," Biden said. "And so we've been about the business of repairing and strengthening those. I guarantee you we are safer today, our interests are more secure today than they were any time during the eight years" of the Bush administration.” Does he really think that respect is more important than strength? VP Biden would do well to remember that America does not follow the weaknesses of other countries but is the leader in principles and power. We ought to act like it. Once again his ignorance of the past has led him to think that catering to such people as the N. Koreans, Iran and Hamas will some how make us safer? Respect is only as good as one’s words and actions are displayed. But what am I saying; this administration and especially this president have no real substance and no real goals or strategies. This is one of the worst, you heard it right, and one of the worst groups of spineless leaders this country has ever had. I cannot tell if that is Jimmy Carter at the helm or Bill Clinton? How dare Mr. Biden criticize someone else when he and this administration have the audacity to fire a CEO and then look to the UN for leadership? Where is the respect to the American free enterprise worker Mr. Biden? Respect is earned not demanded nor sought after. Respect is earned. Mr. Biden, you need to apologize to Mr. Cheney. As a matter of fact you should apologize to the American people for the thievery you and Mr. Obama have committed.
