Wall Street + Daggett = Corzine re-elected

Washington Examiner
October 30, 2009

If Gov. Jon Corzine wins a second term next Tuesday, New Jersey voters will have two places to thank: Goldman Sachs and Chris Daggett campaign headquarters.

Goldman Sachs is where Corzine made most of the astonishing $24 million he has plowed into his re-election campaign (compared with the $9 million spent by his Republican opponent, former U.S. Attorney Chris Christie).

And Daggett is the third-party candidate who's never been higher then 20 percent in the polls but whose candidacy may very well determine the outcome of the race.

Christie has run a less than perfect campaign, but should Corzine eke out a win, credit must go to his money and to Daggett. Why? For the simple reason that the case against Corzine is so overwhelming.

Newt,
Still love you, but you need to step up and admit you may have had a huge influence on the outcome in NY 23. Please know that we aren't interested in "the party." We are interested in the candidate. Step up and acknowledge that you were wrong. We need leaders who are willing to put Country before party. Is that you?

One thing i do know, I am dead-set against ANY more RINOs, one Olypia Snowe and one Susan Collins is one too many. They have shown their lack of worth so many times as to be completely nauseating

I agree. Simply could not understand Newt throwing in Behind the RINO.Thankfully it all worked out yet, it gives one pause as to judgement.Newt has some really great ideas to move our nation in the right direction. Is Newt simply too much a creature of the GOP machine and country club ? i dont know,we certainly dont want more Lindsey Grahams and McCains, proven losers.I just dont know.Yet we dont yet know what our options will be in 2012 or if Newt will even run.

Newt, I think you fail to fully understand the purpose and push of the Tea Party movement. We are pushing for Republicans or Democrats. We are looking for people that share our values. Putting moderate (Rhino) Republican's on tickets is and has backfired. Your support of the Republican in NY that has since put her support toward the Democrat as a case in point. You really need to stop thinking as a Republican and look at the Tea Party folks, look at Reagan, look at your own 1994 take back America. We would rather vote for a conservative even if that means a Democrat wins. We will vote for the person with our values and in time things will change. We can't afford Rhino's any longer. If this country goes down the tubes let it be with Democrats and not Rhino's. Again you are drastically missing the message of this movement. You can contact me at rogerk@us.ibm.com if you would like.
Regards,
Roger King
