Our government has recently submitted a bill on Cap and Trade that uses “Climate Change,” and “Global Warming” as a basis for that decision. Cap and Trade, Ethanol subsidy are just two many such bills that are and will cripple not only ours, but other economies of the world. Some have suggested that the cost of implementation of just Cap and Trade, as written, would be in the neighborhood of forty trillion dollars.

Both of these premises have as their basis IPCC reports and a movie from Al Gore (perhaps the biggest benefactor from the conclusions) as their basis. To say that just these two entities have agendas not necessarily in the interest of the American citizen would be exceptional understatements.

The winter of 2007 and 2008 proved to be the coldest on record for China and many other countries to the extent that the less than one degree rise from the nineties has all but been erased. The IPCC, Gore, the so-called “settled science” and the other proponents have no answer for the reasons.

The head climatologist of NASA, the founder of the Weather Channel and many others suggest we are in the middle of a hoax of historical proportions, that, if acted on precipitously, will wreak havoc on not only ours, but especially the nations most vulnerable to the ramifications of a mistake of this magnitude.

Thousands of scientist around the world question the validity of IPCC especially with regard to the relationship between CO2 emissions and temperature (the hockey stick) where actual measurements tell a story the opposite their hypotheses.

Logic would suggest that the premises of “Global Warming” and “Climate Change” are anything but conclusive.

With just these thoughts in mind, (there are many more) don’t you think that before our representatives even contemplate legislation of such momentous consequences that it would be prudent to have PUBLIC DISCUSSIONS on the conclusions of ALL the legitimate scientific parties involved and VET THE CONCLUSIONS instead of banning from meetings those with different conclusions as recently was the case with the IPCC.

Until the science is vetted, we should be hell bent on obtaining energy independence by drilling for our own oil, building clean coal fired plants and building nuclear facilities all with the help of government policy. At the same time, we should be using government incentives to develop alternative sources of energy.

Mr. Gingrich I believe you have what it takes to make this great country great again. There is so much turmoil, out there people are to busy blaming rather than trying to find the proper course of action and attacking the problem. From gas to green energy, to terrorism. Run for president and help us worry about us first for a change!!!!!

Why can't America drill their own oil and sell to the oil companies and set the per barrel price? With the revenues of this you can do the Health Care and completely abolish the I R S. We should look at all the countries around the world that own the companies and tax them. The revenue alone would be unbelievable look at all of the ARAB countries that are filthy rich from us buying their oil. The American Oil Refineries are exporting more diesel out of the country than getting into our country. These huge profits that the oil company have proclaimed to have they need don't need any tax break. They need to be taxed again.

IOW, he should spend the rest of his life thanking Bush for giving him the opportunity he had because nobody else would have based on his talent. That's what annoys me about that guy. He made me cringe every time he spoke. Now he gets to get rich writing a book? The Burger King is hiring, get an honest job.

Let's face it. Scott McClelland was no Ari Fleischer. He was not likable, not eloquent, not a good press secretary at all. No one CARES about Scott McClelland, no one would buy his book without something scurrilous to recount. period. In all his time at the White House, i just kept wondering how he got a job beyond serving hamburgers. I think selling out your boss and making up or spinning things is a horrible way to try to make money. I'm not even a Bush fan but McClelland, geez, what a nobody. YAWN.
