we have thieves in charge of this country,like our legal system, murders get out in 3 -10 years and a person getting caught with a bag of cannabis is getting from5-20 years, lots of justice there!

Maybe now, the former, and up to now, silent majority, needs to stop sitting on their hands and open their collective mouths and make a difference. We let the so-called Republicans get away with spending and acting like democrats.
We argued with our representatives to act when they still had the chance and power to do so. We pleaded with them to legislate with conservative ideals. We supported them with our votes until it really hurt.
Never have I been so embarrassed to be standing with a party that has left the reservation knowing full well my votes are wasted on them. An American thinking that my vote is between the lesser of two evils, instead of voting on clear definable choices that embody the principals our forefathers, left to us as their legasy, and watching our so-called leaders systematically destroy our country.
I often wonder why I, my brothers, my father, and many of my other family members even bothered to serve this nation.
What honor is there in defending a nation of thieves and scoundrels who belittle this country and dishonor the service and patriotism of people who believe in the ideals and goodness of this country?
There is something seriously wrong with a nation who can't remember how we got to be such a great nation. There is something wrong with a nation of people who think it honorable to accept handouts and allow lawlessness to permeate our governmental processes.
How long, will we continue to take it on the chin and sit quietly as those who seek our demise run roughshod over our system of beliefs and tell us that we are violating their rights.
A revolution is coming America. Like the silent majority, it will hit when you least expect, and with a vengence never before seen. The words of the old tyme hymns will once again find root in those yearning for freedom and justice.
God help those who oppose the will of our Father and his righteous way. The Constitution is not a collection of "Just Words". It is our Birthright, our duty, and our Sacred Honor, to ourselves and our posterity to defend with our dying breath and all that we are as AMERICANS.
Trillions and trillions of dollars, an amount I cannot fathom. They are financially raping us while we sit and watch everything American flushed down the toilet.
When SOCIALISM become the Politic DU JOUR, as it likely now to do, let us all see how palitable the loss of freedom REALLY IS.
Our parents and grandparents are being swindled daily as they watch their hard earned life's savings dissapear, and we do nothing. Our own savings have lost nearly 50 percent in value. Still we say nothing.
Our children and grandchildren will be paying for our stupidity and lack of urgency as the look back to today and see what fools their forebears really were.
Madoof, Waxman, Bush, Johnson, Raines, Gerelich, Frank, Shumer, and the whole stinking bunch should be tried for high treason, including the other high powered people that perptrated this vile action against this country.
We don't need to go after Al Queada, we have plenty of economic terrorists in this country that have done more damage than any terrorist group ever did. Sadly, they are now in control of our government.
They alone have done more to destroy our country than ANY other nation in our entire history. All anyone will do is point fingers and dodge the blame.
You people can do what you want. There will be a DAY OF REKONING. Have your fun now and baske in your accomplishments. Revel in your sound defeat of the America I once knew. Make all the laws you want and take all my freedoms from me as you like.
The Spirit of America WILL RISE FROM THE ASHES, out of the bitter defeat we now must taste.

New't, How can we expect to win any elections without voter identification? Since "Motor Voter" the 1993 Clinton bill that forces states to register MVR registrants without any way to do a background check as to their actual citizenship? Worse yet the newly regitered voter can from that point on vote and reregister, by MAIL. There is no way to know how many foreign vacationers, have voted and will continue to do so. Thank you Mr and Mrs Clinton!

In short, no one is talking about what will really pick up this economy. That is the confidence of the nation, the 90%+ of us that are working, that our jobs will continue. I work three part time jobs primarily to ensure that I will stay working. Not all have that privilege of diversifying their time like that. For those folks that still have full time or even part time jobs, they are reducing their spending to make up for the lack of confidence that the current policy makers will not promote policies that will encourage more companies to downsize in order to survive until we can vote the spenders out. Two more years can be a long way off when treading water. What we need is to see small business encouragement and corporate reward for in-sourcing jobs rather than driving out jobs and furthering economic contraction. Enough with trying to spend us out of debt. That is the epitome of an oxymoron. We need to put the environmental lobbyists on a long-term 'time out' and man-up to get all forms of energy into high gear. Start drilling (after all, petro dollars seems to fatten coffers quickly), green light nuclear plant contracts, let the car manufacturers get competitive with the foreign ones, and let the spirit of innovation revive. We will get out of this by the genius and creativeness of the free people of this great country. Obama is no leader. He is nothing more than a 'cheerleader' for the policies of the Clintons and Pelosi. He is not the thinking man's man, but, he can sure stir the emotions of the sheep going over the cliff.

For Gibbs to float a statement that his speech would be Reaganesque is just more smoke and mirrors. His opening remarks were pedestrian and the entire speech was speciously delivered. "Mr. Obama, I knew Ronald Regan and believe me you are no Ronald Regan!" This speech, just like his first press conference, was nothing but political plenteousness. His constant references to what he inherited and the Jack-In-The-Box Pelosi had all the trappings of a political rally. I was waiting for the balloons to drop. I also believe there was a level of malevolence toward the Republicans the 48% of American who did not vote for BHO. The smiles and the smirks said it all. There was no decorum or sophistication from the Democratic Party. Collectivism was in the air and arrogance prevailed as a substitute for sincerity and leadership. Obama fiddled tonight while the Democrats prepared the kindling for the fire. The real loser tonight was the American people and our great Republic. Let me end by quoting a Democrat. THERE IS AN OLD CHINESE SAYING THAT EACH GENERTION BUILDS A ROAD FOR THE NEXT. Obama, the unscrupulous salesman! In Obama’s speech last night before the joint session of congress, he actually stated that the stimulus bill alone will not accomplish much without more aid for the banks. Before the stimulus bill vote, he was adamant that the stimulus was needed to “jump start the economy” and create 4 million new jobs. Now he admits that the stimulus will NOT help the economy without MORE money. That, folks, is classic bait and switch.

Why is all the blame laid on the bankers and mortgage lenders when, chances are that, they would have refused most of the loans to folks that didn't prove income if not for the pressure from the likes of Barney Frank and others? Will Chris Dodd, Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank and others ever be brought before a committee like everyone else has and asked to answer for the dereliction of duty they have shown? As for Obama's speech tonight, it is really disheartening to listen to all the crazy fiscal irresponsibility coming down the road if he has his way. Come on Newt, throw your hat in the ring.

I found the words, "by the end of my first term", very unsettling. Does this mean he's already bought the next election too?
Also, if you've every stood up and been counted in your life, you better be ready to do it over this health care scheme. The health care scheme also involves allowing our borders to be flooded from the south and catering to a huge new voting block that will secure them election victories for years to come - actually a one-party system!

I wrote about Obama's need to spend and spend quickly, just so he could turn around and supposedly cut spending, over a month ago. He is so incredibly predictable and in way over his head. Had a great idea for YouTube. Remember the Gong Show’s “The Unknown Comic”? So bad that he put a paper bag over his head when he told his jokes? And the New Orlean’s “Ain’ts” fans a few years back – they’d wear paper bags over their heads when at the game because they didn’t want their faces to show while cheering on the Ain’ts? I want to meld the two concepts and have faux Obama voters make funny confessions on YouTube with bags over their heads. We could have contests.

I was very disapointed with President Obama address; same-old, same-old. My fear is he is not in touch non skilled to handle the current problems of America. We are not in a situation to just vote "present". It appears he can only be bold with three items; Energy, Health, and Education. All of which I am concerned, but at this time we have greater issues. It is appearent to me he has no idea what an ear marks are!

To DO that, we need to strengthen and change the Republican Party back to its Reagan era strength. How do WE do that? The BEST way to strengthen and change the Republican Party into one that again clearly advocates conservative principles is to . . . drum roll . . . HAVE MORE PEOPLE IN ITS RANKS who accept, understand and advocate conservative principles. I'm not talking about just registering as a Republican, I'm talking about YOU, yes, YOU, who's reading this, not "the other guy," but YOU -- becoming an A REAL, ACTIVE MEMBER of the Republican Party by becoming a real, live, functioning Precinct Committeeman. That's the bottom rung on the leadership ladder in the Party. By becoming a Precinct Committeeman, you get to ACTUALLY VOTE for the Party leadership. YOU GET TO CAST A VOTE FOR YOUR LOCAL REPUBLICAN LEADERS UP TO THE COUNTY LEVEL, AND THEN GET TO ELECT ELECTORS WHO ELECT THE STATE AND NATIONAL PARTY LEADERS. If those who accept, understand and advocate conservative principles become a majority IN THE PARTY RANKS, guess what? The Party leadership voted in will be those who accept, understand and advocate conservative principles. This just happened here in Arizona. It's not hard to find out how to become a Precinct Committeeman. Do some googling to find your county Republican Party web site. Find out which Legislative District you live in. Find out when the next meeting of that Legislative District Committee meets. Then go to the meeting and tell the chairman you want to volunteer to be a Precinct Committeeman. You'll have to gather a few signatures to get on the ballot. Once the election comes around, you'll be elected. Meanwhile, volunteer to DO SOMETHING in support of your conservative values and principles WITHIN THE PARTY. You will be leading by example. Many of the moderates are moderates because they don't know how to think and be conservative. You can show them by your DEEDS. Now get to it!

The Country has not gone crazy, we have finally started opening our eyes and most of use have just found out what the word "pork" means. We are getting smarter and realizing that we have a voice and most of all we are screaming on the death ears of those we have elected. For to long we have depended on them to have the Charactor to do the best for us. We now have to take the bull by the horns and watch their every move. It appears that serving in the Congress is quite self-serving. This is our Country and we have to protect and defend. This is what our founding forefathers gave use and we have a responsilibilty to stand up. It is not the Government, not the President, it is us the people.

I really wish people would stop saying we need to do something. I agree, but call and emailing our reps. and congress has not helped, they don't listen or there is not enough of them to change anything. When 75% of people polled opposed the plan, it didn't matter.

I've gotten the point where I cannot listen to speeches anymore because they are just so superficial and a lot of grandstanding. I do like to hear what people like Speaker Gingrich and others of his thought police like to say. It gives me comfort in knowing that this country has not completely fallen into the abyss.
I will absolutely go livid at the first mention of "fiscal responsibility," this a week after signing the most extensive spending bill the likes of ours have ever seen. It is all so hypocritical and I do not understand how Americans don't get it.

You aren't alone in your concern about the directionof the country. Just don't let fear or ignorance paralyze you. We have to actively listen and defend our beliefs and values or risk a jihad-stealth style attack on the Constitution and our liberties. I spend a lot of time speaking with people about these issues in Connecticut. Many are afraid to speak out because it is "cool" to be liberal and for Obama and "not so cool" to have any independent thoughts. This IS changing. you are not alone in your fears, nor are you alone in your desire to move forward to address conservative concerns with 21st century soloution that protect ALL our freedoms. Don't give up.

Obama will make the case for massive tax increases under the guise of "Fiscal Responsibility". This is a joke after 1 Trillion stimulus bill and 7 trillion banking support.
Watch for the CYA generalizations to cover for a massive redistribution of wealth and generational theft.
Both sides agree we need GAAP Accounting standards in Government, but paying for the massive unfunded liabilities is a daunting task.
Please don't overburden the younger generations to pay for the SS-Medicare Ponzi scheme created by the Baby Boomers! They certainly didn't create this mess, but Obama will certainly attempt to pin the debt on them!

We all have some idea what we are going to hear tonight, and some idea of what is behind the curtain and will be left unsaid by the Messiah. What concerns me as much as Obama and his destruction of this country is what in the world is the GOP going to do to stop it. To date, I have seen and heard precious little other than the awesome moves of the House members. They seem to be the only folks in the GOP attempting anything. Steele's answer has been to reach out to the hip hop group. Anybody thought about reaching out to the Base? God help us!
