I am very disappointed in Newt Gingrich and the Republican party. “We the people” have finally had enough—more than enough. You can see it clearly in Doug Hoffman’s race in New York, where Republican party faithful are abandoning the candidate hand-picked for them, and endorsed by Michael Steele, the RNC, and Newt Gingrich. Party over character and principal. We need a third party NOW. I refuse to give my money to the RNC and haven't in many years because of this 'good ole boy network crap.'

If only you had the fortitude of our forefathers.
Imagine if Washington, when deciding whether to cross the Delaware with his ragtag army, most of whom were bear-foot, came to the conclusion you made re the NY-23 race: We have a practical choice to make (which was the original title of your defense of that decision) and decided to compromise with the British?
Because you lack his fortitude you will NEVER get my vote for president.
Good luck with your career as an author (and congrats on your 13th place debut on the NYTs best-seller list) because you are done in politics. No Republican candidate can win the nomination without conservatives, who you've lost this week.
