Reagan and the Berlin Wall

Some have called the President's decision not to commemorate the fall of the Berlin Wall an outrage. I think instead, for someone who so ably uses the rhetoric of hope, it is a tragedy he is not attending. My Friday column on the anniversary is here

The Wall! There is a wall greater than the Berlin Wall being erected as we speak. It is a wall separates the principles of our founding fathers from the American public. Even as I write this our very own simple choices will be removed simply because American people do not know what is best for them. The voice of the people could not be heard over these last few months simply because the wall of socialism is almost complete. If we are to bring down this wall, if we are to win back our American freedom then we must stand in the face of socialism and say, “Mr. Obama tear down this wall.” The Berlin Wall is only a reminder to the socialists that freedoms were hindered or denied. Mr. Obama is a coward.

Nice post zlegatoz.

Team Obama and especially the Progressive-Marxist Congress NEVER want to be caught celebrating an AMERICA SUCCESS and American Exceptionalism.

Yes, but if no one else is going to state the obvious, then I will:

<Democrats' inner monologue. . .>

We must never illustrate the success of conservative principles. We must never speak of the real world, in which our idealistic dogma cannot survive.

We must never speak of what caused the fall of the Berlin Wall, because we would have to acknowledge that an approach completely foreign to our dogma helped speed an end to Soviet communism.

We must never speak of the causes of 9-11 because the answers to that problem first require an acceptance of the fact that some people are evil and must be defeated.

We must never cut taxes, because when the economy is stimulated and people do well they will realize that they don't need us.

We must be sure to promote the viewing of society through a racial lens, lest people start to realize that we've simply been making money off the business of "resentment peddling", while only paying lip service to the concerns of people of color.

We must control the "narrative" because we know that people are really stupid and will believe what ever we say, once we say it often enough.

There! . . .

. . . Man, I feel better all of a sudden . . .
