Questions: If there is a government health plan, what will be the size of this new bureaucracy? bigger than the Defense Department? bigger than HEW?

If the government is in the middle of the $ stream flowing to the providers and the $ pool flowing from taxpayers, what will happen to the disbursement stream and the services provided to the "insured"? what will happen to the $? Can we compare the handling of thi stream with that of SS?
