Its all wonderful, seeing each successive president post the familiar change platform over the last 44 elections guiding this country to... a wealthy class subjugating those docile lesser people.

Newt, enough talk. The republicans need to take action to bring about change, be a partner not a road block in every vote. I don't care if you smile, frown, or cry just help the democrats pass smart reform in a way that has the voter in mind. No more smiles, handshakes, and platitudes.

Newt is the leader this country needs. He has the experience and leadership skills to lead the country. We need a man with vision for how the country should be run both internally and internationally. Every candidate has baggage. We need a leader who understands the intent of the Founding Fathers. Newt Gingrich can lead in the manner the Constitution intends.

So, Newt is out making lots and lots of money. He speaks here for a chunk of cash and he speaks there for another chunk. He sells his books and keeps his image in the public eye so he can make more and more money. Congratulations, you're doing a great job, right? Sure, he talks about popular topics. He talks about what generates the most cash for himself. He talked about energy when everyone was paying higher gas prices, but did he actually DO anything? No! He pushed for drilling even though any knowledgable person knows that they weren't drilling because there were no rigs to drill with; not because there was nowhere to drill. So, getting drilling rights reinstated does nothing! If ten percent of the stimulous package were spent on an energy production plan currently in blueprint, all Americans could have FREE electrical energy in eight to ten years. We would employ over three million people from engineers to miners for eight to twelve years minimum. Why doesn't Newt Gingrich get behind such a miraculous plan? He gets no money for it! Noone will pay him to push it. The truth is we have a little more than half the citizens living without regular income; a little less than half living with regular income. So, when it comes to the question of redistributing wealth, there are a lot of people who are for it. When Newt talks about 80-20 issues 'with a smile' and says he's for you keeping more of your money, he's talking to less than half the voters in my opinion. He may not adequately understand that from his monied podiums. The Socialist Liberal Democrats have a very real and threatening constituency in the group of people without regular incomes. It doesn't appear as though Newt even knows they exist or chooses not to care because they are UNABLE to contribute. Most of you reading this now have almost no conception of how many people are living hand to mouth. There are over four hundred twenty thousand military veterans living without regular incomes. That's one of the greatest shames on our nation. These are some of the most skilled workers in America. I'd like everyone who reads this to look at their energy bills for the previous month. What if you could keep that every month? For modest incomes this amounts to another house payment or at least a car payment. What would it do for the economy if everyone could spend this for something else instead of energy? That's a stimulous! Imagine also what it would mean to the American Steel Industry for example. The entire world would buy American steel, even China would be importing American steel instead of Japanese steel made from American waste products. Trade imbalances would invert overnight! With just the right support from a prominent individual like The Speaker, America could have ANYTHING! But, can anyone take the time out from making their money to help? Probably not. It would sure have been wonderful to see those energy systems in place for my grandchildren before I died. If the Socialist Liberal Democrats successfully add 35 million illegal aliens to their voter roles (people without regular incomes) it will likely be a deluge for the Democrats in 2010. The candidate that steps to the political plate and at least offers the hope of prosperity for those with out regular incomes should have a strong showing. It requires that the political environment strongly supports small business. The stimulous packages are ANTI-Buisiness. We basically paid the people who brought the world economy to the brink. They walked away with billions of dollars paid to them for their silence. Don't tell the world that you allied with the Socialist Liberal Democrats of the nineties and we'll make it worth your while! It's a debacle. We should all chant 'FREE ENERGY NOW' until we get their attentions. Free energy would provide a second avenue out of poverty for the poorest in our country, the first avenue being education (which has been raped by the Socialist Liberal Democrats).

I hope Newt wins the Presidency in 2012 and brings about Judicial Reform.
Runaway Courts are unconstitutionally legislating from the bench to the point I wish the founders had worded the 1st Amendment as follows:
"Congress and/or any judge shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."
This present generation of young Americans are the "grandchildren" Khrushchev vowed to "bury without firing a shot" when he spoke of turning the West communist from within.
"We can't expect the American People to jump from Capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of Socialism, until they awaken one day to find that they have Communism." —Nikita Khrushchev
Judicial Reform is our biggest priority for the courtrooms are where the war against our freedoms is fought.
The ACLU is notorious for attempting to replace our founder's model of Government with another.
Let's not be naive and let's top turning a blind eye to reality.
"I am for socialism, disarmament, and, ultimately, for abolishing the state itself...I seek the social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class, and the sole control of those who produce wealth. Communism is the goal."- Roger Noah Baldwin (Founder of the ACLU)
Newt needs to win the oval office and make it clear to the law defying judges that CONGRESS is the legislative branch of Government.

Newt's correct. Stay positive and repeat yourself with the facts. It's a soundbite society, unfortunately. Thankfully the Dems are making it easy with their bumbling. Republicans better not blow it with their constant stupidity. Offer ideas constantly-- common sense, Constitutional conservatism. Simplify the message: stop spending & printing $$$, cut entire departments of the fed. gov., retire the incumbents, let people keep the $$$ they earn, especially small business owners,; hold Congress responsible, both Dem and Rep , for the wholesale corruption that they all engage in; close the borders and enforce the law -- legal immigration yes, illegal immigration no; ....etc. and so forth. Reagan was right, and he did show the way. This is a center-right country and always has been. It can be again. BUt when the R's get in again, will they govern what they preach now? Or will we have to throw them out in 2-4 years again?

1st, why do such vocal "commentors" (both here and elsewhere) see the need to post "anonymously?
Re: Conservatives - I am a Conservative, Evangelical, Christian. However, as Scott Brown showed, a winner must be joined by many more "centrist voters - 'cause that's where the majority resides. Reading "Common Ground" and "Upstream" will assist one in understanding (acknowledging) that Americans are not, in the main, real Bible believing Christians. However, the "Judeo Christian" construction of morals/ethics IS something the majority can embrace. External to faith, we must have leaders who will: >limit size of government >put themselves in the same boat as constituents in retirement, health and every other manner >stop the earmarks (which put state "treats' above national interests.) >increase state responsibilities while reducing (eliminating?) federal attachment of unrelated strings to release of tax $$ back to states. >reduce government spending (we cannot afford to do otherwise!); one mustn't be anti military to say there's probably 25% fat in that, as well as many other expenditure categories >Abolish the IRS (go to www.fairtax.org) to see how >Immigration: Bin Ladin is most likely correct in stating that American hasn't the guts to do what's necessary to win.... a) Close borders, even if it means putting up sniper towers; b.) existing illegals - in short order, either leave or become Americans. We must assimilate the finite number of current illegals as it's the right thing to do (and there's no viable alternative.). This means a.) English as the official/required language; b.) stop "press 1 for English"; teaching in other languages, etc. c.) get with our program or get out. >Don't run, or allow, smear campaigns - the voters needed are sick of it. >Newt's divorce is his issue ("let he who is without sin cast the first stone"). Focus on leading the nation, salvation at the national leadership level has never worked over time (see Judges-I/II Samuel-I/II Kings.) Besides, we have had few (if any) unblemished leaders. The Bible works for me, personally, but I need leaders that will keep us in the position to allow me to teach my grandchildren my beliefs. >Stop the insanity of spending $$ we don't have on solving world problems (as perceived by some) such as global warming and put those $$ toward energy independence (or paying our debts...what a novel idea). >Be compassionate to the less fortunate, but demand individual responsibility via investment in people - not handouts. >I love political cartoons, etc.; however senders only preach to their buddies and rile each other up - so I stopped sending (and receiving to the extent possible.)The mission is not funny - it's just too serious. Besides, the problem is not the President (i.e., a person) - he's not wreaking havoc by himself. The problem is the Progressive ideology and the answer is lies in educating moderates. >Lastly, Don't Lose Credibility Via EXTREMISM; The Win Will Come From The CENTER... (e.g. Scott Brown.) One may fault me for saying this, but I'm out to save our nation and it's constitution, not to "Rush Limbaugh" the Progressives (even if I do agree with him).
Let's be strategic and smart about attaining the goal. I do not want to have laughing people pointing at me saying............Stupid Is As Stupid Does...........dead right is still dead.....

I love Newt: However he continues to push for this "all inclusiveness". He thinks the Republican, in order to win, must moderate our message. He preaches Reaganism, but doesn't believe it. WE NEED CONSERVATIVES - NOT RINO's!!!! The "TEA BAGGERS" are tired of this Democrat and Democrat Light. Newt COULD be a force but only if he stops supporting candidates as he did in NY23 "because the 'Party' chose her". No the Party didn't choose her, about 6-7 Moderates chose her. Wake up!!!

Newt, don't run on my account. I haven't forgotten your flip-flopping on "global warming", agreeing with John Kerry that action had to be taken "urgently". I haven't forgotten the ad with you and Pelosi touting global warming, either.
You also backed Scozzafava against an actual Republican in N.Y.'s 23rd Cong. Dist.
You were also pro Cap and Trade back in 2007 and now you're anti Cap and Trade.
And, of course, there's that old bugaboo, asking for a divorce when your wife had cancer and all the baggage you've been dragging around since then because you can't keep your zipper up!
Actions have consequences, so no thanks. I'd rather have a real Republican Conservative run for president.

Newt, I was just reading your article, Opinion: Mr. President, Govern as You Promised on sphere.com. As usual it was great...that is, until it came to this:
It is a mystery why Obama thought he could govern as a different person from the one he campaigned as, but he now has a chance to reset his presidency around the principles he espoused during the campaign.
A mystery? hat mystery? Barry Badware didn't say he was going anywhere near the missle. Didn't you hear him talking about spreading the wealth? What did you think he means? You are too smart to have fallen for his voice, as far too many Americans did. What middle? The middle of Russia? The middle of Cuba? Take a look at recovery.com and ask where's the money, Barry Badware? The stimulus wasn't designed to create jobs...it was designed to sabotage the economy. It seems that every time I start reconsidering whether or not I would vote for you (if you run), you show that you are not willing to be straightorward. It was so evident before he was elected that Barry badware was a far left radical using every Marxist buzzword, fairness, equality, etc., that you could not have missed it. I think that you have lost any chance for my vote, no matter what great speeches you give in the future. I do not think I can believe that you mean what you say. We don't need any more orators in the hite ouse, we need leaders.

I tell you I am getting tired of all these people talking about leaving the GOP behind in an effort to go conservative. There are a lot of libertarians masquerading as conservatives these days as well.
The Republican Party is the conservative party. Certainly some from liberal states have more moderate positions, but what is important is the party is what we make it.
In the middle of the Bush years, preoccupied by the war on terror, conservatism itself went adrift. It is not just a matter of principles, you have to identify how to apply them to new issues.
The main thrust has to be to get good GOP candidates that pronounce right on the issues and elect them. I don't hear but a a tiny few in the GOP talking about something other than conservative principles. The debate is on applying those principles.

"A government for the people, of the people, and by the people" keeps ringing within my heart and mind.
I "pray", if He chooses, God will use Newt's experiences, leadership, and passion for America. The recent election in Mass. is a small indication of what is resounding within the lives of the majority of the American people; "One nation under God, indivisably, with liberty and justice for all (except those who want to destory us. If there are people living in American who want to destry what She truely is then LEAVE; "as for me and my house we will serve the Lord and defend our country-tis of Thee, sweet land of liberty, of Thee I sing, Land with my Father's died, Land of the pilgrim's pride, from every mountain side "LET FREEDOM RING"!!!!!!!!!!

The only thing republicans have to say is what the democrats is doing. They cannot tell you what they are going to do.Newt, you talk about a positive debate with reason?Obama and the democrats ignoring the gop. They don't debate, they just state. The reason the gop is not apart of the debate is they have sat there and let the democrats get away with this. And the democrats and letting you sit ther and talk. The only thing the gop is doing is trying to provide the leaders for the next election which is squelching the leaders who are trying to raise up out of the Tea Party movement.I wish you could understand the vehicle that will save America will be Conservative Principles, not the Republican Party. The Close Party Laws violate the 24th Amendent that allows citizens the right to vote in the primaries, but instead the gop decides who the candidates will be,and the result continues to be more republicans sitting the elections out and swictching to Independent.I wish the gop and talk radio would let the people have their country back?

Offer alternatives in a positive manner. Bold Concept for Washington Mr. Speaker.
"Keep finding 80-20 issues, smile a lot and keep repeating yourself."
Americans worked together and play together everyday. White, Black, Latino, Oriental - All work/play together.
Washington fight among lawyers that impact those that work/play together just fine. Hummmmm.
Less Goverment = More American Unity Less Government = Liberty & Freedom
Less Government = Less $$$ in Washington Less $$$ in Washington = Less Carpetbaggers and Lobbyists Less $$$ in Washington = More Local Control of Our Destiny.
Another 80/20 Issue is "English as the Official Language of Government"

I love and respect Ronald Reagan, and yes, Reagan was "The Great Communicator" but Newt is as good a communicator as Reagan, and at times I think even better.
Newt is a true American, a strong and wise leader, a man who attacks the root a problem in order to resolve it, understands, appreciates and shares the will of the people, and knows how to fix stuff quickly and efficiently. I believe Newt will make a great President and I mean "great" as in Lincoln-great.
May he run for President and win by landslide. I'm convinced he can and will. The American spirit aint dead. This past Presidential election has awakened a sleeping giant.

Sic' em Newt!!! I'm reading Sarah Palin's book and her changes in Alaska are based on just what you are saying. Get rid of corruption and give the CITIZENS of THE US more jobs, more security and justice. Make them feel safe in their own neighborhoods and because we do have illegal immigrant gangs in some areas with weapons DON'T penalize those whose family have owned guns for hunting and for protection of their families since the LAST American Revolution,(I think the one in 2010 is going to be a lot more bloodless and remove a lot of criminals from congress). If proven to be dishonest they should lose their congressional benefits. If you stole from an employer, he sure wouldn't let you keep your insurance program and your discount on company products. Why are the members of congress exempt. Before November set an investigation into corruption and if any are proven to have taken illegal contributions or redirecting contributions to their own pockets, they should be denied the right to even consider putting their name on the ballot from their state. Keep tellilng it like it is.

Dear Newt, I don’t have a contract with this government. Not because I don’t want to pay taxis but because they still deprive me of work. In theirs’ agendas I don’t see the reasons or even illusions which might somehow improve current situation. Please get into the scene not only by just talking but take the reign to take the country back into Judeo-Christian margin as our founder fathers intend us to do. I consider you perfectly suitable for the coming task. Remember Moses? He was choosing by God and so do you. Enough these amateurish show offs – the country needs a professional, an experienced and a brilliant politician, not an idol for schoolchildren, or childish-brained people. Too many Republican politicians try to walk the politically correct line but sell out the country while doing it. (They don't own their convictions.) I'd rather they "say it how it is" rather than try to avoid the rath of the liberals. The liberals can rant and rave all over the place - I don't care - right is right and wrong is wrong.

We need another Contract with America and we need to see Republican leaders begin to unify now, Republicans need to do town halls where Newt ,Palin ,Huckabee, Guiliani and others come together with the American people.

Mr. Gingrich - When will the "conservatives" start having these conversations? As a leader, you demonstrate the conversation / debate / topics / issues are fairly simple. They ARE! Simple!! Pick an issue - chances are the solution is Simple. Politicians make it difficult, to prove their own worth to their constituents. "If it were easy, why a 'monkey' could solve this".....

Newt has the brains and historical reference to be a great president.. what he lacks is consistency, Passion and heart. Rick/Sarah/ he needs to start hanging with someone who compliments his flaws.. maybe by taking top 3-4 conservative leaders for summits all over the country
