09-Apr -  MSM gives pass to Vodka Maker for it’s non-Apology for an Ad Depicting Southwest as Part of Mexico

MSM gives pass to Vodka Maker for it’s non-Apology for an Ad Depicting Southwest as Part of Mexico

/RANT

Proof the MSM are heavy drinkers of cheap vodka. Once again the MSM has given a pass to another anti-American campaign by an anti-American company that wishes to play all sides of the “fence” (PUN INTENDED).

After seeing the pathetic, weak, panderous ad that this obviously anti-American insighting ad campaign depicting an OLD Mexican territorial map from the 1830’s ("Absolut claims that the map is from the 1830's and shows the past. The map shows Panama which didn't separate from Columbia until 1903. The map shows the future according to Absolut." - unknown source. I have not verified this but either way the map is insulting to me, asn American)" was running in Mexico I came unglued. And not being entirely together to begin with, wasn’t a pretty sight.

So, I called the Absolut Vodka office, e-mailed, yelled at my Congressman’s phone message, rant rant rant…. And not only boycotted the company, but entirely dropped the possibility of EVER drinking their brand again! So, I can relax now. I’ve said my piece, I have made known my intent of action to so my extreme displeasure for this anti-American company... BUT WAIT!!!

As I read my daily fill of the garbage that is the MSM I see time after time:

“Vodka Maker Apologizes for Ad Depicting Southwest as Part of Mexico

And time after time I read quotes like

"In no way was it meant to offend or disparage, nor does it advocate an altering of borders, nor does it lend support to any anti-American sentiment, nor does it reflect immigration issues,"

And

"As a global company, we recognize that people in different parts of the world may lend different perspectives or interpret our ads in a different way than was intended in that market, and for that we apologize.”.

I look and look,, and I keep looking … I know the headline said something about an apology,, I know it did…  Let me see,, I see that the first quote is telling us what the ad is not intended to do or represent… Gee what was it intended to do..??. Even if it was only seen in Mexico?? Are the ad writers at Absolut that influenced by their own product that they can’t think straight,, I meant I know that writing under the influence is not a crime,,, but perhaps it should be…. Won’t you have to be half drunk or just fully STUPID to think that you can run an Ad that clearly under minds the entire western United States of America in Mexico (next door neighbors) and not “intend” us to find out or see it… Does that make any difference in the “intent”!!??? Gee I didn’t mean for you to find out about us rapping you children and stealing your jobs and social services… Well,,, as long as you didn’t “mean” to… ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!

But no that’s not all,, the next quote….They not only do not apologize,, they excuse their actions because they’re a “global company”. How about a little “global” responsibility you morons!!! “we recognize that people in different parts of the world may lend different perspectives or interpret our ads in a different way than was intended in that market, and for that we apologize." . LOL, oh I love this one… They apologize that we Americans don’t like that they are encouraging Mexican to wish for and dream of the day when the map depicted in the ad may come to fruition, not for the ad… This is no apology. My suggestion and request to ALL Americans is to not only boycott (that implies a temporary status) but complete abstain from ever purchasing the Absolut brand again. They do not deserve the American patronage and I for one will NOT oblige them.

The Next Question: Why is the ad in English? If this ad was “intended” to be ran in Mexico why would they print it in English...? Heck,, we can’t even get the illegals to speak English in America. I doubt that this was ran in Mexico in the English language.. So why translate it? Not only are we getting insulted,, we are getting played by this Anti-America company. What’s the old saying.. all press is good press,, even bad press…

To finish up.. Check out the site to help finish off and make an example of what happens to a company that thinks so little of it’s American patrons as to insult them by questioning their very right of existence. Good site,, has contact info for Absolut and much more… We can not allow this company to get away with such an obvious anti-America campaign,, unintended or otherwise..

15-Jan -  Michigan is a mess. Poll this!

From Human Events’ contributor John Gizzi - " However, in a state in which there is no registration by party and voters with a lifelong history of voting for Democrats are free to participate in the GOP sweepstakes, those figures could change dramatically over night.  Last year, Barack Obama and John Edwards pulled out of the Michigan Democratic primary to show solidarity with the state party, which was being penalized in terms of delegates for defying the Democratic National Committee and holding a primary before New Hampshire (which eventually moved its primary to January 8th). So Hillary Clinton is left virtually unopposed (Mike Gravel and Dennis Kucinich remain on the ballot) and Water Wonderland Democrats are free to come over and make mischief in the Republican "main event" here."

Full story: http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=24451

Wow, take all your polls and throw them as far out the window as they can fly. Beware, Ron Pauler’s, and Shrillery cohorts (many times being one in the same) will be on the prow to upset any true indicators that the Michigan primary might have otherwise brought. Do not be surprised if Ron Paul gets a solid 18% (thank you Edwards and The Shrill) and second or third place finish. Although it will be interesting to see how many demwits will march in line with the new King “Dr. Barak Luther Kobomaing” and vote on the democrat ballet for uncommitted,, YES they CAN..hehehe... On to South Carolina, I say let’s see what the south has to say about the primaries. And it better not sound like Mc****….

Go Romhompshuckani !!! Anyone but the veteran sell-out....

The only truly experienced, militarialy and policaitcal, and man of true action on preserving this nation at home and abroad..... 26-Dec-07 -  Eye on the "senate' money ball

As a true billiards enthusiast there’s a saying I like to use; “Keep your eye on the money ball” and in the 08 election that money ball is the Senate election, not the presidential election. Keep in mind that the odds of the conservatives added three to five seats in the senate and losing the general presidential election is not likely. So I ask that all of us conservatives focus on the senate first and the presidential second. Below are a few facts to keep in mind as we approach the primaries at neck breaking speeds.

35 of the 100 seats will be on the ballet in the 08 senate race.

33 are regular elections and 2 are special elections.

The 33 regular election senate seats will serve from 2009 to 2015 (Class II)

The two special elections will serve until January 3, 2013 (Class I)

Currently there are 49 Republican Senators, 49 Democrat Senators, and two independents that are truly democrats and side with democrats. Leaving the conservative surfs in a scary position.

Unfortunately the two special elections are two incumbent Republican seats from Mississippi and Wyoming. On top of that we have five retiring republican from Colorado, Idaho, Nebraska, New Mexico, and Virginia. So far I count seven seats that we do not have an incumbent running.

Another scary fact is that of the Senate seats on ballots in 2008 23 are Republican seats and only 12 are Democrat seats, putting us at the disadvantage for picking up seats. Seeing how I am indeed a working Joe schmoe and just don’t have the time I’d love to have to research each race I will reference a few websites that I’ve googled/yahooed/or otherwised web-searched. As you will see the danger of taking our eyes off the money ball and losing ALL THREE and possibly the Forth branches of government is very very real!

Here are the democrat incumbents that will be up for grabs…

Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, New Jersey, Rhode Island, South Dakota, and West Virginia. As you can see most of this are not even close to becoming red…

Here is a couple of websites. As you can guess the sites are endless…

The Cook Political is not a favorite of mine, but it does get, at least “a” point of view.

http://www.cookpolitical.com/races/report_pdfs/2008_sen_ratings_nov29final.pdf

I know wiki sucks... but this info did jive with most other sites and we put all together….

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Senate_elections,_2008#Norm_Coleman_of_Minnesota

Okay,, here’s the republicans site...

http://www.nrsc.org/races/

As you can see we need help. We need activist. The senate is the only thing that has saved this country the pass year and a half. We must maintain at least a close tie. Please get involved any way you can. If you have Friends or family ion any of the questionable states get them active. I can not express how urgent I feel that the senate is to our freedom, safety, and sovereignty..

20-Dec-07 -  A citizen's election wish

As I read the news of the day and think of the future President of this country my head leans downward a little more than I wish it to. My need, my desire is for a leader. Someone to inspire, give me hope, bring energy to my heart in regards to the outlook of my country and the hopes and dreams I have for my children. Not to beat a dead horse, but I had that feeling once, but then that man decided to not lead from the top, but to try and craft change through the musky underbrush of the political landscape. I wish that man well and will stand with waders to my neck in an attempt to help, but I fear the need for this country will not wait for a process of convincing a minority populous group to change their stripes. See it is human nature to not make drastic change without drastic necessity, or great leadership to show the way. I can think of no man or organization that has done this successfully in a time frame that requires swift results and most of all leadership. And Great leadership requires a Great and Large stage.

America does need ideas, she needs people to think of better ways to advance her needs and desires, but NOW,, she needs leadership. Someone that cares for her and her occupants more than the power that such a leadership roll requires. I think back on what made President Reagan a great leader. I think maybe it was the fact the anytime you heard him speak he was a positive voice for us. He never “acted” like he was more important than anyone else. He seemed so comfortable in being the leader that he had no need to “act” presidential, he just was. President Reagan showed strength with a heart felt confidence, but not by talking tough and putting on a show. That I think is how I saw President Reagan. And I guess that is what I wish for America today. A true leader. Someone that will talk with us, not tell us what they think we need. To hold the true interest of America first. Not just the monetary, but the fabric of liberty and freedom.

Yes, it is important to be financially strong, but at what price? Would I be willing to give up my nice car every four to six years for freedom, give up my house with several empty rooms for liberty? (Not that I have either). But,, yes,, I love America for her values, her desire to ensure what God has deemed my own. Personal freedom! We know what we need and there-in lies the problem,,, it seems that we know and the political leaders and suitors of the presidency have little clue. As an American I WANT to sacrifice for that. As a Christian and just plain caring person I WANT to help America be successful. And if that means not having the latest and greatest newest nicest…. Than I will endure... I will, and want to, do what it takes now so my children and grandchildren (of all Americans) will be ensured their freedoms and an America that is free of socialism, religious bigotry, invasion of foreign entities, terrorist attacks, and oppression of our constituently guaranteed rights. There a ways we can be strong and sovereign. World trade can and should be fair for all countries, not for all except America.

I would ask the candidates to close the door to your consultants and advisors. Stop and look into your own heart. Read the Constitution, the Bill of Rights. Address each issue that faces us today with “what is the right thing for America” in mind. Think how Jefferson may have approached his daunting task before this country was whole. You are given the opportunity to sow the future fabric that our country will endure. I ask that you put down your need to be President and step to the pulpit as a man that wishes to LEAD this country to a better, more positive place.

As well I would ask the voter, the people of this great nation to educate themselves on the candidates. Search into their past voting and behaviors. Do not rely on media sources for your information. Research the internet. Visit the congressional and Senate’s websites and pull up voting records. See if they voted the way you would have liked. And if not, what was the over all vote on that issue? Did they make a smart decision or did they sell out your beliefs? And finally when listening to and about each candidate I ask that you judge them deeply. We are choosing the next leader of the only truly free nation in the world in hopes that they will be able to continue to keep us safe and free... Last and MOST importantly make sure you vote in the primaries, that is where WE have the most say in what we believe as individuals. Vote for the person you truly believe to be the best leader for this country, even if they have little or no chance of winning. That will send a message to the victor as to what we expect from them. And regardless if your choice in the primaries makes it to the general election,, please,, please,, please,, do not set out the general vote. America needs ALL of her citizens to speak for her.

God Bless America

12-Dec-07 -  New Haircut

Ah yes, nothing quite as refreshing, yet scary, as a new hair cut after a long winter. And although the literal winter has just begun. The winter of non-stop drooling work for me is coming to, at least, a slow down. So I hope to return to join my friends here for comradery, correspondence, and a little fun combativeness. And as I get use to this new haircut that is now Newt.org, I will always long for my long full ever glowing hair of my youth which was the newties’ forum of old. Forums seem so much easier to maneuver than blogs... Oh well.

So, as I’ve said I have been locked in the dungeon of my employer and hard at work on things that will not change the world, but will drive you mad. If not the tasks,, the cohorts that were forced upon me. Now here is my attempt to catch up with the world.

Meteors bring us reality and revelations. As I walked the trash from my humble abode Tuesday night I glanced up to the stars to enjoy the beautiful clear skies. I noticed a star like object with a spray of light exploding from its south. At first I thought it to be a star that was distorted by cloud, but as I looked over the sky above me and to all the surrounding stars, I realized that this was God’s gift to me for the night. A gift to warm my heart and expand my adult imagination, which takes some doing at times. So I took a few minutes and thought of the immense size of this universe and how little I am in the eyes of God. And with that I grew. I grew in my heart the size of the universe, that little ole me has the love and guidance of the God that created this, this endless and overwhelming space of pure beauty. So, I suggest to all my friends and, indeed, implore my enemies to gaze upon the beauty and creation of our God, which like it not is OUR God. For non-believers look at it like this, Bush is President to ALL Americans rather you “voted” for him or not. That is to say God is there rather you believe him to be or not. And as with the presidency, if you deny it, you only find frustration and anger to fill the void. Oops I started off this paragraph to share the wonder of the universe and ended up preaching. Oh well, we can all use a little preaching from time to time. To end, look up this week into clear skies to see the Geminid Meteor it is a site of wonder and beauty.

Politics is the theme of our time. Men, and women, of influence and power (good and bad) determine the path of civilization. And here I am with eyes wide closed. As I have been working hard on things that will not change the world it occurred to me that if I continue to place my civil duties on the back burning I will be the one to point a finger to if ill bestows my family, my friends, and my country. For I would have become exactly what the political doers and MSM wish from the public. Too busy to care! Give me the highlights and I will drop my ballet with the confidence of a raccoon in a dump yard ever oblivious to the poisons layed for my taking. So, I come to the one place where I have always found truth, reason, and intelligent thought. And I ask of the keepers of this priceless capsule of political, social, scientific, and analytical data bytes, inform me and I will go forward into the sphere of webs and carry the intelligent logic and truthful information that I trust you to lay in my hands. In other word,, Dudes, what’s been going on anyway?? Okay,, I guess I could have finished a little stronger,,, I’m a little out of practice. ;v)

To finish up. I give you my Political take on the 08 race and ask for your opinions.
So, I did get to watch most of the YouTube debate and found if to be a left wing ambush that most of the candidates handled pretty good and without looking like they were embarrassed of the believes, which is a good thing and gives me some measure of hope. Here is my personal choices on the GOP field.

Hunter
Huckabee
Romney
Thompson
Giuliani
Elmer Fudd
Homer Simpson
Peter Griffin
Ron Paul

Hunter is my First choice. And will get my vote in the primaries unless Huckabee proves to be a strong but close running candidate against Giuliani and Romney. Thompson is just not campaigning well and he really doesn’t impress upon me that he can lead the nation without stumbling over himself. I think he would do a much better job that any of the left, but so would Homer and Peter... Although I like about 50% of what Paul says, the other 50% convinces me that he is a TOTAL NUT JOB!!! To bad too. Because I think he has some great ideas… Unfortunately he would make America too weak and leave us vulnerable.

Of course it goes without saying that the GOP nominee will get my vote in the general election. Period! We MUST hold the libs at bay.

This is GA4Freedom ,,,, and it’s good to be back…. For now anyway….
